I think I threw my back out dancing for joy. This is the first time that I’ve seen this e-reader in stock in the US. Why is that important? Because now I can start bugging the US division to lend me one.
This is your typical 6″ e-reader (no Wifi or touch screen). It comes with [...]

Someone just tweeted me a link to a Kindle discussion forum. One Kindle owner asked when her Kindle 3 will ship, and this is what she was told:
Orders placed before 8 p.m. Pacific Time on August 1st will still ship by the August 27th release date.
Orders placed before 10 p.m. Pacific Time on August 5th [...]
The Kindle Store still has the best prices in the post agency market

The developer behind Inkmesh apparently had a break in his day job. He just ran another ebook price survey similar to the one he ran back in November 2009. FYI: Inkmesh is an ebook search engine. It’s the best way to find out which ebookstore has a given title, and more importantly which store has [...]
Amazon pulled Every Word app due to the N-word
August 11th, 2010 · 1 Comment · Amazon
I have a follow up on the story I reported earlier today. Amazon pulled the app. Here’s what Crunchgear reported:

I have a report that a certain word has shown up in the new Every Word Kindle app. It’s in the picutre. I’m looking at it right now and I’m still not sure I beleive it. I don’t see a reason why Erik would lie, though:
I was playing last night, and had nearly completed a [...]

The NYTimes are speculating on why Amazon have announced job opening for things like: Supply Chain Project Program Manager, Hardware Engineer and RF Systems Engineer.
Some of the people hired for these positions will most likely work on the next versions of the Kindle, possibly integrating touch screens or even creating a color version of the [...]
New Podcast: Kindle Gives Amazon More Bang for Less Bucks
August 9th, 2010 · No Comments · podcast
One of the podcasts I follow a weekly series from PBS Media Shift called 4 Minute Roundup. This week’s podcast is on the Kindle obviously. (Actually, it’s last week’s podcast. I missed it the first time around.)
In this week’s 4MR podcast I look at the surprising success of the Amazon Kindle e-reader in the wake [...]
Motley Fool think Amazon Can’t Win on the iPad
August 6th, 2010 · 2 Comments · opinion
There’s a new post today from Motley Fool. I think it does a pretty good job of showing why they call themselves fools (I assume it was becuase the word idiot wouldn’t have the same alliteration). Here’s a summary:
In this video, Fool.com analyst Eric Bleeker talks about the continuing battle between Apple’s (Nasdaq: AAPL) [...]
